ATLAS WEIGHTLIFTING CLUB

Through Atlas Weightlifting, our Olympic weightlifting club, we offer group training programs, remote coaching, and technique workshops to both recreational and competitive lifters! Our training system is designed to help you improve athletic performance in the snatch and clean & jerk.

ONLINE NUTRITION COACHING

Our Online Nutrition Coaching offers 1-on-1 coaching wherever you are in the world! As your mentor, we’ll work together to guide you through your journey. You will be provided with a custom nutrition plan, supplement protocol, and training program that is customized to your personal goals. It’s flexible, affordable, and results driven!

MEET COACH KYLE

Kyle Paraggua is the Director and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at KP Strength & Performance. Certified through the NSCA and Precision Nutrition, Coach KP is known for his detailed and results-driven training and for his complete dedication to his clients as he purposefully sets out to help them feel, look and perform better.

Coach KP is a graduate of Humber College’s Health and Fitness program. After receiving his diploma, he went on to York University for the Kinesiology and Health Science program.

Since taking early action and stepping into the industry in 2011; Kyle’s experience includes working with Team Canada’s World Champion figure skaters, professional and semi-professional athletes (NHL, OHL, AHL), and youth athletes and teams. He also trains regular gym-goers and weightlifting enthusiasts, and leads weekly speed-and-strength camps.

Kyle believes in combining real world experience and a research-based approach to movement, injury-prevention, and performance enhancement to stay in the foreground of strength training. Whether he is leading an athlete to maximize their performance or motivating online coaching clients through positive and in-depth feedback, Kyle genuinely cares about helping his clients excel in their pursuits. Through every session, Kyle provides athletes with a wealth of knowledge and an amazing training experience.

Outside of the gym, Kyle is a husband and father of two. He enjoys spending time with family, reading books, playing basketball, and competing in the sport of Olympic weightlifting.

MEET OLIVER

Dr. Oliver Vimard earned a Bachelor in Physical Education and Health from the University of Toronto. From that point onward he has been keen on acquiring a vast amount of theoretical and practical knowledge in order to help the active population achieve their performance, rehabilitation, and fitness goals. He then graduated from the highly regarded Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and received his doctorate degree in Chiropractic. Throughout his life, he has been very active and has enjoyed playing sports and working out regularly, constantly learning new ways to improve one’s performance and pain-free movements.

Using Evidence-Informed Care, he combines the best available evidence with his expertise and YOUR preferences to tailor his treatments to your individual needs. Read more about evidence-informed care here.

Dr. Oliver’s treatment method strives to achieve a balance between the use of 'passive' modalities (Spinal adjustments and Myofascial Release Therapy [M.R.T.]) and 'active care' (Moving better and more efficiently through the use of functional movement assessments and corrective exercises). Dr. Oliver is an avid learner, and loves to impart his knowledge on others.

Dr. Oliver also uses Low-Level-Laser Therapy (L.L.L.T.), which has been shown to benefit a wide range of injuries from chronic arthritic conditions to shoulder and patellar tendonitis, to carpal tunnel syndrome. Treatments tailored to the INDIVIDUAL are paramount to his philosophy of care and his greatest satisfaction comes from giving his patients the best possible results with each treatment.
